Business Administration Student Assistant – Procurement & Supplier Management (m/f/d)

The Procurement and Logistics department is responsible for the needs-based provision of required supplies and services and for purchasing construction services. Two central storage units also maintain particularly important plant components through the department's own organization. The department sees itself as a service provider, strategic adviser and reliable partner within the HAMBURG WASSER group.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and compare offers, prepare price comparisons, and commission suppliers and service providers for individual procurements.
• Support the analysis and evaluation of procurement and ordering processes based on the merchandise management system.
• Conduct market and supplier research to identify suitable procurement sources.
• Build, maintain and continuously develop a central knowledge database.
• Actively participate in and support cross-functional projects and the optimization of internal processes.

Requirements

• Enrollment in an economics-related degree programme, such as business administration, economics or industrial engineering.
• Basic commercial and business administration knowledge.
• Affinity for numbers and an analytical way of thinking.
• Independent and structured working style, combined with strong self-motivation and a pronounced willingness to learn.
• Confident use of MS Office.
• Good communication skills in different conversation situations.
