Industrial Engineering Student as Student Assistant – Knowledge Database Management / Inventory Management Systems (m/f/d)

Department: The Procurement and Logistics department is responsible for the needs-based provision of required supplies and services, as well as the purchasing of construction services. Two central storage units also support the internally organized stocking of particularly important plant components. The department acts as a service provider, strategic adviser, and reliable partner within HAMBURG WASSER.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain and compare offers, prepare price comparisons, and commission suppliers and service providers for individual procurements.
• Support the analysis and evaluation of procurement and ordering processes based on the inventory management system.
• Conduct market and supplier research to identify suitable procurement sources.
• Build, maintain, and continuously develop a central knowledge database.
• Actively contribute to cross-departmental projects and the improvement of internal processes.

Requirements:

• Enrollment in an economics-related degree programme, such as business administration, economics, industrial engineering, or a similar subject.
• Basic commercial and business knowledge.
• Affinity for numbers and an analytical way of thinking.
• Independent and structured working style, together with strong self-motivation and willingness to learn.
• Confident use of MS Office.
• Good communication skills in different conversational situations.
