Role and technical setting
HAMBURG WASSER closes the water cycle under one roof, from drinking-water supply to wastewater disposal. With around 2,400 employees at more than 20 locations, it helps keep Hamburg running every day. The organisation is committed to conserving resources and protecting the basis of life for future generations in Hamburg. Together with its subsidiaries, it invests its experience in forward-looking water and environmental-protection projects. Openness, appreciation, trust, respectful and peaceful cooperation, and a diverse community are stated as part of the working environment.
Your contribution
The plant engineering area covers the planning, modernisation and realisation of technical infrastructure. Its focus is EMSR technology: electrical, measurement, control and regulation technology. This supports automated processes, safe control and efficient monitoring. The work ranges from analysis and technical design through implementation and project support across all service phases. Different technical disciplines work closely together to create robust, modern and sustainable system solutions. As a working student, you support the team responsible for the electrical power supply of waterworks and gain practical insight into demanding infrastructure projects.
Everyday tasks
- Supporting the implementation of technical projects in automation and EMSR technology and in the electrical power supply of waterworks.
- Helping prepare technical bills of quantities and performance descriptions.
- Producing technical documentation, including 1-line diagrams, principle diagrams and block diagrams.
- Carrying out network calculations and simulations with NEPLAN 10, such as static and time-dependent load-flow calculations, short-circuit current calculations, selectivity verifications and protection design.
What you bring
You are enrolled in electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable programme. Completed vocational training, ideally in a technical area, is an advantage. You should be interested in EMSR technology and electrical power supply, and work in a structured, careful and reliable way. Good spoken and written German is required.
What HAMBURG WASSER offers
- An ambitious role with individual support from specialist departments, varied learning and continuing-education opportunities, and group-wide development opportunities after your studies.
- Information and exchange formats, afterworks and modern tools for networking and smooth collaboration.
- Variable working hours, monetary overtime compensation and the possibility of mobile work depending on the task.
- Health and sports offers, such as Urban Sports Club.
- Benefits including a subsidy for the hvv-Jobticket and offers related to bicycle mobility.
Further benefits are available on the career page and/or in a conversation with the recruiting team. How should interested students apply? The source does not state an application route.
